Interview with: Rosanna Amato - Elgon Italian Education Manager
2. Let’s talk about training. Why should a hairdresser decide to devote his time to his personal training?
In a context like the current one, the final customer always chooses with greater attention the professional to whom to entrust his beauty. It is therefore essential to constantly raise their standards to offer new services in the salon, to strengthen their stylistic identity, to increase their professionalism through consulting, to give its customers a pleasant and unforgettable experience. For all these reasons and for many others, which always have to do with raising standards, today the time dedicated to training is absolutely the best investment that a hairdresser can choose to make.
3. What did Elgon think of its hairdressers? What is Elgon’s educational offer?
In the construction of the training offer the education team of Elgon has put at the center of the hairdresser and all its needs. Thus a training offer was born that embraced various themes: from the management of the salon to the relationship with the collaborators; from the harmony to the coloring techniques through to innovative chromatic effects; from the chemical-cosmetic knowledge to the rituals. And last but not least the activities related to the fashion collection: from inspirational visuals to workshops that will allow you to learn new cutting techniques and color. In addition, we will make available to our hairdressers paths of guided knowledge of R&D laboratories and production: we are a company all Italian and we want our hairdressers to touch the creation of cosmetics that use in their salons. Our activities will be interactive and dynamic, because we believe that a pleasant training is the basis of a good learning.
4. Finally, do you feel like debunking a myth? Someone believes that education is the opposite of creativity, inspiration and the possibility of creating your own unique style: do you agree?
We absolutely dispel this myth. The training conducted with interactive methods and involvement triggers very interesting mechanisms of creativity. We firmly believe that a good education must first of all give inspiration and enthusiasm and we do our utmost to build formats that increasingly perform towards this result.
