Interview with Marco Girotti: Elgon Global Artist 2017

"A collection needs golden hands: he comes from San Francisco, but he was born in Milan! Gentlemen, here you are, Marco Girotti!"

These are the words spoken on the prestigious stage of #ElgonDays to present Marco Girotti, Elgon Global Artist 2017, which have won applause from audiences from all over the world.

With great enthusiasm we are proud to continue the collaboration with Marco and to have him at our side with his talent for the year 2017.

His "wise" hands will accompany us in the next edition of the #ElgonDays and we are sure that his creativity will not stop surprising us.

Are you curious? To get to know him better, we asked him a few questions:

Hi Marco. Would you like to talk briefly about the collection that is now traveling the world? Why Milan? Why "Elegance"?

I couldn’t be more than happy to work on this collection inspired by my hometown. Milan is really in my heart, the capital of fashion and design: the place to meet people from all over Europe and the city of reference when it comes to style.

Elegant, classy, timeless, impact, extroverted: these are some of the words that describe this year’s collection.

After an intense and important experience like last year, what inspired you to continue working with us?

I must say that it was not a very difficult choice because I have always had a weakness for Elgon, its values and its continuous growth.

I really believe in creativity and sharing and #elgonelegance 2016-2017 was a wonderful experience that made me fall in love with this new company project and the idea of globalizing training by creating a tool that inspires, informs and motivates hairdressers. I am very excited for this 2017 new year together.

Your collaboration with Elgon last year led to the creation of the fantastic #elgonelegance collection. Without revealing anything, do you have any ideas for the next collection?
Yes! I already have some ideas even if they are the first but soon they will become the final ones. I can tell you that it will be a beautiful collection with a strong message. I can’t wait to share it!
