Elgon Elegance Women Edition: interview with Marco Girotti, Elgon Global Artist
For Elgon it is more than just an artistic choice: every woman has the right to express herself, manifesting her uniqueness, her talents, her passions with her gentle, vital strength.
Freedom of expression is a condition of daily work at Elgon, and we would like every woman to have as much of it, all over the planet.
Marco Girotti, Elgon Global Artist, made us dream on stage in Baveno, on Lake Maggiore, where Elgon celebrated women in all their beauty and femininity. A sparkling, colourful and exciting show that was able to thrill the entire audience and keep more than 5000 people glued to the screen via Live Facebook.
And it is no coincidence that before the show Marco Girotti revealed: ‘Beauty is a moment in everyday life that releases emotions. I look for it and find it in everything around me, from the blue sky in the morning to the starry one at night, from the energy of the city to the peace of the countryside. In our work I see beauty as a form of expression where the harmony of contrasts, the balance of shapes and colours, the creation of a style and making it adaptable create something unique for the people we serve."
How will his creativity translate on stage at the Elgon Inspiring Days? Girotti told us: ‘My creativity will be expressed in different ways, from the creation of commercial styles executed with advanced cutting techniques, from alternative haircuts to editorial looks and interesting hairstyles to replicate, for a total of 27 models each with a different style’.
According to Marco, the collection is born from the exchange of ideas and continuous communication with the entire creative team, which creates the themes based on trends. "My job is to analyse the themes and think carefully about the type of women and which suits the various styles best. From there I start to think about the style of hair, its length and texture, taking into account the need to create variety in shapes and styles to be able to please a different target group of hairdressers and customers."
In the next blog post we will discover how Marco Girotti developed the moods of the Elgon Collection.
