Made-in-Italy cosmetics are going through a moment of real growth: according to data released during the event that brings together 2,500 beauty companies worldwide, companies in the sector have exceeded 10 billion euros in turnover.
A striking example is Elgon, which with over 45 years in the world of professional hair cosmetics, exports to more than 90 countries worldwide, bringing its 100% Italian heart to the international market.
Elgon has also decided to target the eco-friendly market and create its first completely green line: Imagea.
To meet the ever-increasing market demand, Elgon has captured the passion for green and natural beauty on the part of female consumers. Women's choice to live increasingly natural is also reflected in the sales figures for organic beauty products, which have soared by around 10 per cent globally to a value of 33 billion dollars.
Confirming the green trend is the forecasting agency Information & Inspiration, which points to the search for balance, ‘mindfulbeauty’, and treatments based on eco-friendly and sustainable ingredients. The trend moves from the West to the East and especially affects the younger generations who have an increasingly healthy and green approach.
