Earth Day - our ecological compromises

We live in synergy with the Earth and we are aware that NOW is the time to take concrete actions to safeguard it, for a better tomorrow. We can be more sustainable together, starting with ourselves.

Every day Elgon is committed to being more sustainable and having a lower environmental impact, trying to improve the choices and paths taken.

Packaging
bottles of the latest products are made of 100% recycled plastic, as well as jars (R-PET) and caps (R-PP).

Labels made of recycled PP
We started using labels made of recycled PP, from OBP waste. Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP) is a plastic waste defined as "at risk of ending up in the ocean". In particular, this plastic is recycled from abandoned plastic waste located within 50km from coastal shores, where waste management is non-existent or inefficient.
The OBP certification program is designed to encourage the removal of plastic from the environment, ensuring its recycling and effective treatment before it reaches the ocean. We are very proud to announce that Elgon is the first brand in Europe to use this cutting-edge material.

Active biotechnological ingredients
From 2021 we include in our formulas, active biotechnologies to achieve better performance. Biotechnologies allow to save a large amount of water and to obtain a more concentrated, purer and more effective extract!
